French Winegrowers look into outer space to gain advantage over their foreign rivals, with new satellite technology that gives them an overview physical characteristics and potential of the vineyards. The images, produced jointly by the Cooperative Institute of Wine (ICV) and geo-information company Infoterra, provide producers with information on the presence of water and composition of grapes among other things, enabling better production management.
