On exports, the positive developments include the U.S. market in 2008, with a total of 6.9 million liters stood at third position ranking of importing countries Rioja. Britain remains the first in a very prominent at 28.8 million liters (36 percent of total exports Rioja) and Germany ranked second with 13.7 million liters. Switzerland is one of the largest consumers of Rioja, with 6.2 million liters imported in 2008.
